Motorcycle Rental Agreement

Please read these terms and conditions carefully. The agreement you sign could be slightly different as we regularly update it.

1. Insurance and Liability

• Standard Insurance: In the event of an accident, you are responsible for all damages if you are at fault. If a third party is at fault, they are liable, provided you have a valid police report and the third party is willing to pay for the damages.
• Theft: We provide insurance against theft only if you can provide clear evidence (such as CCTV footage). Without such proof, you are responsible for the full replacement cost of the motorbike.
• Additional Insurance:
  • If you purchase our optional additional insurance, you are not liable for any damage to the motorbike.
  • If you do not opt for additional insurance, you are responsible for any damage not present at the start of the rental.
  • Note: All insurance is void if there is evidence of you driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
• Punctures: Tire punctures are covered by the rental company. Please inform the rental company if you have a punctured tire so it can be plugged or replaced.
• Third-Party Damages: Our insurance does not cover any damage or injury you cause to a third party.
• Medical Costs: The motorbike insurance provides up to ฿30,000 for medical costs.
• Disclaimer: We regularly maintain our motorbikes and equipment. However, we are not liable for any injury, damage, or loss of property resulting from an accident, including those caused by a mechanical fault. We do not cover repair costs of your phone if the phone holder breaks.
• Riding on the Beach: Riding the motorbike on any beach is strictly forbidden. If we find evidence that the motorbike has been on a beach, you will be liable for a fee equal to the total market value of the motorbike at that time.
• Driving Licence and Fines: If the customer does not hold a valid driver’s licence, the customer accepts full responsibility for any fines, penalties, or legal consequences arising from riding without a licence. In the event that the rental shop is required to attend a police station or assist with any procedure related to such fines, all related fines, fees, and time costs will be deducted from the customer’s deposit.

2. Deposit and Documentation

• Deposit: A passport or a monetary deposit is required and will be returned once the motorbike is checked and the rental period ends.
• ID: A copy of your passport is required for our records.
• The rental company does not apply long-term discounts retroactively when a renter extends the rental period.
• The Renter agrees to return the motorbike at the same time on the agreed return date as the original rental start time. If the motorcycle is returned later than the agreed return time, additional charges may apply in accordance with the rental company’s late return policy.
• Early Return:
  • For long-term contracts with monthly payments, if you return the motorbike before the final payment, you are entitled to 20% of your deposit back, unless there is damage to the motorbike.
  • For regular contracts paid in full upfront, you will not receive a refund on the rental money if you return the motorbike early. Your full deposit will be returned, unless there is damage to the motorbike.

3. Equipment and Key Loss

• Lost Key: The charge for a lost key is ฿400 for a standard key and ฿4,000 for a remote key.
• Lost Helmet: The charge for a lost or significantly damaged helmet is ฿500.
• Dead Battery: If the battery is flat due to the bike being left on, we will charge a service fee of ฿50 per kilometer from our shop to recharge it.

4. Fuel and Maintenance

• Fuel: You must return the motorbike with a full fuel tank.
• Maintenance: We are responsible for all standard maintenance, performed at our expense.
• Travel Restriction: If the motorbike is taken outside Phuket Province, the renter is responsible for all transportation costs required to return the motorbike to the rental company if it becomes inoperable. The renter is also responsible for any repair or service costs incurred outside Phuket, as the rental company’s staff are unable to travel outside the province to provide assistance.

1. No Upfront Payment for Bike Pickup or delivery: You don’t need to pay for the bike rental before receiving the bike. You can inspect and receive your bike first, ensuring your satisfaction before any rental fees are paid.
2. Deposit: A security deposit is required for all rentals and must be paid before you receive the bike. This deposit is to cover any potential damage or loss during the rental period and will be fully refunded at the end of the rental term, provided the bike is returned in its original condition.
3. Currencies: If you pay in cash, you are required to pay the amount in Thai Baht. If you would like to pay by credit card or any of the other payment methods as visible at the bottom of the page, you can pay in your own currency but there is a 6% transaction fee.

Are the motorcycles insured?

Yes, all our motorcycles come with basic medical insurance at no additional cost. This coverage extends to all road accident victims, including drivers and  passenger. It covers bodily injury, health harm, and death but does not include property damage. The included insurance is basic and may not cover the full cost of treatment for serious injuries. Thus, we recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance. However, note that insurance companies will only reimburse medical costs if you possess the appropriate motorcycle driver's license.

What is preliminary and maximum compensation?

What if I damage a motorcycle?

All bikes are provided in excellent technical condition and are thoroughly checked with you before departure. You are responsible for returning the bike in the same condition it was given to you. Should there be any damage, repair costs are typically low, but you will be required to reimburse us for any damages incurred while the bike is under your care.

Is additional insurance available?

Yes, we offer comprehensive motorbike insurance. Our coverage includes protection against damage resulting from accidents, whether involving just you or a third party. You won't be charged for any repairs to the bike under this insurance. However, please note that damages incurred while the driver is intoxicated are not covered.

Is there any insurance for property damage? 

The insurance does not cover property damage. We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance that covers property damage resulting from road accidents in your home country. Please be aware that riding without a valid license, without a helmet, or under the influence of alcohol or drugs invalidates most insurance policies and is considered illegal.
